On September 23, 2014, all the Grade 3 students in the Interlake School Division met at Stonewall Collegiate for a day of activities. We began with entertainment provided by Al Simmons. We were then given a yummy snack. We did two stations, one on Water Conservation and one about the Medicine Wheel. We got to make bracelets based on the colours of the Medicine Wheel. At lunch time, we got to have our face painted, and we were visited by many mascots (Winnipeg Blue Bomber's Buzz and Boomer, RCMP's Safety Bear, Manitoba Hydro's Electrosaurus, and the big blue recycle bin!). We did two more activities, one with Fort Whyte about recycling, and one where we got to paint small pictures. We then had an amazing guest speaker, Jarron Jackson, a Grade 2 student who collects blankets for the homeless! We ended the day with a Friendship Dance with everyone who attended the day. This was a great day!
