When we got there, Grace was already waiting for me. We went in a room to talk about the Riparian Forest. We also got partners and poured water into two plants: one was just dirt, the other had a plant in it. We went outside after. Grace had the camera and I had the clipboard. It was fun and a school came by and thought we were doing yoga. We were really sitting and listening. We went to the park after lunch. Then we learned about drama class. After, we went to the park one last time.

(We were so excited to be chosen to participate in this field trip, through the Assiniboine Park Conservancy and GreenKids! We were one of 8 schools in Manitoba that were invited to attend this workshop, and the only school outside of Winnipeg. Our morning was learning all about the Riparian Forest (forests that grow along a body of water) through the Conservancy, and our afternoon was spent with great people from GreenKids who helped us practice our acting/drama skills, with the knowledge we had gained from the morning! It was a great day! ~ Mrs. Tervoort)
